1. Who we are
"Houston Green Maids," "we," "us," and "our" refer to In Houston Green Maids dba Houston Green Maids, A Texas Registered Corporation. This policy explains what personal information we collect through houstongreenmaid.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. "You" and "your" refer to the person or household requesting or receiving our cleaning services.
2. Information you give us
We only ask for what we need to quote a job, schedule it, and show up at the right place. Depending on which form you use, that includes:
- Your name — first and last, so we know who we're talking to and who to ask for at the door.
- Contact details — your email address and phone number, so we can confirm the visit and reach you about it.
- The service address — street, unit, city, state, and ZIP for the home being cleaned.
- Job details — the service you want, the square footage we should price against, your preferred date, and any notes you add about pets, access, or things to skip.
- Anything you write to us — the message you send through our contact form, and any email or text you send us afterward.
Our forms also include a hidden field that real people never see or fill in. It exists to catch automated spam submissions, and we discard anything that trips it.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or government ID numbers through this site.
3. Information collected automatically
Our site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that keeps standard server logs. Those logs may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you requested, and the date and time of the request. This is ordinary infrastructure logging used to keep the site running, diagnose errors, and defend against abuse.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts, session recording, or third-party marketing pixels on this site.
4. Property records we look up
To estimate a price without asking you to measure your home, we match the service address you enter against Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) property records. HCAD data is public record. What we use from it is limited to building square footage, the appraisal account number, and the year built.
If we can't find a match, or the record looks wrong, the quote falls back to the square footage you enter yourself. You can always correct it — the estimate is not final until we confirm the job with you.
5. How we use your information
- To prepare an estimate and confirm the details of your job.
- To schedule the visit, send reminders, and let you know if something changes.
- To get into the home and clean it the way you asked.
- To bill you and keep records of work performed.
- To answer questions, handle a re-clean under our satisfaction guarantee, and resolve any damage or billing issue.
- To keep our own records, meet tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their own marketing.
7. Calls, texts, and email
When you give us your phone number, you're agreeing that we can call or text you about your service — confirmations, reminders the night before, arrival windows, and follow-ups. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop service texts by replying STOP or telling us directly, though we may still need to call you about a scheduled visit.
If we ever send promotional email, every message will include an unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing doesn't stop the transactional messages about a job you've booked.
9. How long we keep information
We keep customer and job records for as long as you're a client and afterward for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, warranty, and legal purposes. Quote requests that never turn into a booking are kept for a limited period and then discarded. Spam submissions caught by our filter are discarded immediately.
10. How we protect information
Our site is served over an encrypted connection, our booking records are held in an access-controlled database, and only the people who need your details to do their job can see them. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that a determined attacker will never get through — but if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by Texas law.
11. Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email us using the details in section 14 and we'll take care of it. We may need to keep some records — a completed job and its invoice, for example — where the law requires it or where we need them to resolve a dispute.
You can also decline to give us information, though we may not be able to quote or schedule a cleaning without an address and a way to reach you.
12. Children's privacy
Our services are offered to adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll post the updated policy here and change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. For material changes, we'll tell recurring clients by email or text.
